Episode 195: What Jesus Values Most
Download MP3In today’s episode, Dot and Cara dive into the character of Martha, sister of Mary and Lazarus. They explore how easy it is to get caught up in doing things for Jesus while missing the opportunity to simply be with Jesus. Martha’s busyness led her to tell Jesus what to do, but Mary chose the better part—sitting at His feet and listening. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or anxious, it might be time to pause and ask, “Am I doing something Jesus hasn’t asked me to do?” Grab your Bible and a cup of coffee, and reflect with us on choosing what truly matters.

Scripture Verse: Luke 10:38-42
“Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
